Fairmont Southampton Hotel, Southampton

My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good aspects. The location was excellent, close to a beautiful beach and the golf course, but the rooms did not quite match the price expectations. Service was a bit conflicting, with attentive staff like Rachel but also some overlooked details. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially at the Fairmont Gold Executive lounge. The additional fees were a surprise and decreased the overall value for money.

I couldn't wait to get into my room, but it wasn't ready till 4:05 pm, even though I informed the property I'd arrive by 2:30 pm. The ocean view suite with a balcony was lovely, had a table, two chairs, and a lounge chair. The rooms are spacious and up to date, which was a plus. Although the wait was a bit inconvenient, the room itself was worth it.

I was placed on the 4th floor with a direct ocean view, which was amazing, but I felt the rooms could use an upgrade and weren't up to the usual Fairmont standards. It wasn't a budget stay, though.

My stay at Elbow Beach was a mixed bag. The rooms were clean and comfortable with the bonus of double sinks in the bathroom, but they are in desperate need of a renovation. The service was top-notch, with staff always wearing a smile and ready to assist, even going as far as arranging a meeting with the head chef to address dietary concerns. However, the location was a bit far from convenience stores and downtown areas. Dining was enjoyable overall, but the meals could have been better. The facilities were decent, but there is room for improvement.

My stay at the hotel was wonderful overall. The room I had provided stunning views of the ocean and harbor, but unfortunately, it was located right next to a loud extractor fan, which disrupted my sleep. The service I received was exceptional, with genuinely friendly staff who went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The location of the hotel was unbeatable, offering easy access to the beach, a private beach, and convenient shuttle services. However, the dining experience fell short with an extra charge for a 'full breakfast,' leading many guests to seek alternatives. The facilities were top-notch, making my stay comfortable and convenient.

The hotel is situated on a hill with a fantastic all-round view, offering easy access to all parts of Bermuda through various transportation options. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though our view was standard, overlooking a roof. The service, especially from the concierge team and Food & Beverage associates, was terrific but some aspects were a bit odd. The dining experience in the basement was very disappointing, and not worth the money, despite being included in our rate. Overall, a clean and new hotel with great service, but dining fell short of expectations.

I was thrilled to discover this hotel, only a stone's throw from the private beach and with a beautiful view of the sunsets and ocean. Staying on the floor with access to a private lounge is a step up from Bermuda's usual standard. The room was spacious, clean, and updated, complete with a sofa, desk, and balcony. The hotel offers top-notch service, from Banquet chef Sumeet, Ahmed, and their crew to Chief Ahmed and the Gold Concierge desk attendants, catering flawlessly to our needs. The location near the beautiful Horseshoe beach and well-maintained surroundings adds to the charm, although pricey due to import costs. Dining experiences could improve, especially after check-in, but the Fairmont Gold Executive lounge offers a better alternative. Overall, a luxurious stay but watch out for added fees and gratuities not disclosed upfront.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel.
